John McCain gets it that America faces a real crisis, the like of which has been rarely seen. He called Obama's people and told them he's flying back to Washington to keep abreast of what's going on with the Joint Economic Committee. Obama was taken by surprise, and now Obama and his memorized script for the "debate" hangs in limbo. He agreed, though. How could he do anything else?
