It was a
question I kept asking. The public was
shown two photos of the masked man at Nancy Guthrie’s door. Were they taken on the same day, same time,
or different days, different times?
But now it
comes out that, according to a source, the images were taken at a different time,
leading to headlines in major outlets that Nancy’s abductors or killers had
visited before the Feb. 1 date she is thought to have been taken.
So the drama
takes a new turn. Sheriff Ninos doesn’t exactly lie about it but says the
information doesn’t come from his department nor from the FBI. Of course ti
didn’t. But that is not the same things
as saying the report is false.
Where it did
come from? First report came from ABC,
referring to an unnamed but supposedly reliable source. With regard to this case alone, I’m quite
sure ABC has a reliable source. I don’t think they would have published if
there was a risk the report would be discredited later.
Here is a
copy of the Sheriff’s statement to media: "There
is no date or time stamp associated with these images. Therefore, any
suggestion that the photographs were taken on different days is purely
speculative."
