John McCain is still behind Barry Obama in this week's latest polls, but the young enthusiasts who were so gaga about him early on have discovered he's just another poltician. Barry Obama has shifted his positions on gun control, on FISA, and on a variety of other issues as he tries to convince America that he's not just another Democratic left-wing candidate. While 66% of young voters (under age 30) saide they'd get out to vote for Obama, the number has dwindled today to 46%. Same old, same old. I can see some of those people becoming McCain voters. From my own current experience with a youth population, the young can often be surprisingly welcoming to older people they respect.
