The NRA vs. Obama - HUMAN EVENTS

The NRA vs. Obama - HUMAN EVENTSSome reading material on Barack's gun control mania. Click the headline.

Obama University Language Arts: Deconstruction and Analysis

Okay, school is in session. Here is a quotation from one of Obama's two books:

From Dreams of My Father:
'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'

Let me break it down for you. Note the word "advertise." Then note the word "race." And of course "whites."

Advertise: The first thing to realize is that (up to age 12/13) Obama must have ADVERTISED himself as a proud descendant of "whites." No doubt he did that because of a clear preference he had for such an identification at that time. I do doubt that he stopped advertisements because of his suspicion that "I was ingratiating myself to whites." While adolescent boys age 12 and 13 do often experiment with new identities, but most likely Obama was content with his "white" identification until he discovered the political expediency of playing into race. It is likely Obma "threw off the shackles of 'white' bondage" while writing his book because it pleased his new coterie of friends and political supporters and liberation theologists, some of whom were 'white."

It is indeed unfortunate that Obama, like many others, views the world in terms of black and white. Aren't we all of mixed race? Is there a "white" world? A "black" world? I've never met or read of anyone who was all of any single "race."

My mother was born in Italy, has a French maiden name, and is sort of beige in color. My father's people have curly, dark hair and other features of the type that, in long ago textbooks, was called "negroid." I am sure that, in both cases, the characteristics derive from Moorish and French invasions or travel throughout Italy.

Should I stop advertising my family African-ness or French-ness because of a suspicion that I am ingratiating myself to "blacks" or "Frenchies"? Maybe when I write my book, I will speak of a new consciousness achieved at age 12, wherein I made complete and full contact with my Italian-ness.

Revolution By Any Means Necessary: Barack Obama

DUBIOUS DONATIONS - New York PostCandidate Obama, who lied about public financing, often boasts that his millions in contributions are from "small contributors." Fact is that many of these "small contributors" have multiple identities. Fortress Obama continues to copy the tactics of Leni Riefenstahl and Albert Speer, and the MSM follows in lockstep.

LA Times Refuses to Release Tape of Obama Praising Controversial Activist - FOXNews.com Elections

LA Times Refuses to Release Tape of Obama Praising Controversial Activist - FOXNews.com ElectionsThis should be required reading for American voters, especially those on U.S. campuses. Of course, "academic freedom" does not apply in many of them which, like Columbia University, are afraid to expose their students to anything that is not left, left-liberal, ultra-left-liberal, Marxist, Socialist, or anti-U.S. Hence, Obama's alma-mater, Columbia University invites fascists on the left into its sanctums but won't permit ROTC to put one foot on campus. So much for "academic freedom."

My Favorite Sarah Palin Stump Speech Line

Obama’s campaign rhetoric is hyperbolic and often meaningless. “Change You Can Believe In” becomes “Change We Need” because bringing up the concept of “believe” in the former slogan calls his credibility into question. That’s not a good thing when Obama’s credibility IS in question. So we excise the issue in “Change We Need.”

Another great weakness of the Obama lexicon is when Obama tells the hypnotized ignorati that “I will fight for you.” Or “I will fight for America.” He uses the term “fight” so often that it becomes a dull and cheap word rather than an enlivening, engaged word.

Now I love many things about Sarah Palin but I get a chill running down my leg every time I hear her utter my favorite Sarah Palin stump speech line. Palin’s utterly clear perception of the meaning of the word “fight” is evident in that line and at every time she utters it:

“There is only one man in this presidential race who has really fought for America.”

Obama can talk the talk all he wants to but John McCain’s the only guy who can walk the walk. John McCain. Now and forever!

Obama Loves ACORN and ACORN Loves Voter Fraud

Has Massive Voter Fraud Become Politically Correct?

One strong indication of the impending rot of our Republic is that the Justice Department is turning a blind eye to massive voter fraud sanctioned by Barack Obama and his supporters. If you think I’m kidding, just try to remember the name of the current attorney general. I mean, hell, if he/she were doing anything, you’d know his name, wouldn’t you? It’s Michael Mukasey—if you don’t know. And it is a “he.” I had to look it up. I remembered every attorney general going back to A. Mitchell Palmer but the current one may be little more than a projection on a screen, given a name.

It’s likely that Barack Obama is thinking of giving a future A.G. job as a sop to Hillary Clinton, indicating a too late pro-woman change of heart. It’s likely he’ll need Hillary to get both legitimacy and expertise. I mean, would the high-profile senator from New York take a job at DHHS? No. I mean...after the tee-shirt beating Obama and his people gave her, Hillary deserves something important, doesnt' she?

Anyway, back at the ranch, Obama the lawyer has dispatched other teams of lawyers to badger Mukasey’s office about ACORN and accusing them also of consorting with McCain’s people. Wouldn’t you think McCain’s people had an interest in deterring voter fraud? It’s b.s.—a complete smokescreen—designed to prevent Justice from looking into the massive Obama voting fraud organization most evident in the activities of groups like ACORN. ACORN is the left- wing “community organization” which launched ballot stuffing and fake voter registration initiatives in about 30 states.

In Ohio, Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner is brazen enough to defy Congress’s election laws. She refuses to verify 200,000 suspect registrations and to screen them for address, felony convictions, and so on. This is just a single example. Think of similar goings-on in many other states.

So how then does Obama get away with this? One reason, according to a recent article in the Wall Street Journal, theorizes it’s because many Justice Department attorneys are Obama supporters and contributors. The Journal mentions those lawyers by name and lists their contributions to the Obama campaign. The editorial is called “Justice and Vote Fraud” and appears in the Oct 27 edition of the paper.

Another reason is that Lawyer Obama has enlisted the aid of Civil Rights organizations to tie up the Justice Department in “amicus” style lawsuits with the aim of protecting against “voter intimidation.” You’d think that meant sweating white sheriff’s men standing around the voting booth with shotguns and police dogs. What it really means is that, unless the government pays for transporting Obama supporters to the polls in stretch limos, the Justice Department will be investigated for a range of infractions not to include phony registrations.

The U.S. needs to prosecute voter fraud, first and foremost. Obama needs to condemn voter fraud and distance himself (in more than words) from organizations like ACORN.

Is Obama Driving the Stock Market Down

Well, no. Not all by himself anyway. Obama had help from Senate pals Chris Dodd and Barney Frank and his cronies who worked for Freddie and Fanny. The mortgage debt crisis is at the bottom of it all. That can’t be said often enough, to my way of thinking. Because maybe saying it over and over will get someone to do something, to stop dreaming of a utopian cornucopia where everyone has a smart phone, a house in the country, an apartment in the city, an SUV and a Prius, and a house at the shore. And if you don’t have the money, Obama’s pals will make sure someone lends it to you.

But Obama’s “spread the wealth” comments, coupled with his planned increase of capital gains tax is not making it easy for the market to rebound. Investors who made money in the stock market over the past decade, and that includes the “little guy” with a 401K or similar pension plan, continue to sell off. The panic is not likely to abate soon as the government is heavily involved now in propping things up artificially. Obama’s sure to make a bad situation worse, and the sell-off is the result, even though Howard Dean appeared on CNBC this a.m. to say that the “stock market always did better under Democratic administrations.” Like Obama claiming he was too young to know anything about Ayers, Howard Dean conveniently forgot about Jimmy Carter. A far-left Obama administration, ironically, will have revisionist historians describing Carter as a conservative when compared to Obama.

Obama is a Left-Wing Academic

Someone sent me an email praising Barry Obama and describing him as "ethical" and "progressive" and also said he was a conciliator. Is a conciliator someone who agrees with anything, and says anything in order to get elected? Perhaps then the man's partially right.

But I don’t know how anyone could use the words “ethical” and Obama in the same paragraph. The devil is always in the details and Mr. Obama seems to have strung a bunch of platitudes and bumper slogans together and mated them with some left-wing ideas from Marcuse. Where the leftist self-styled academic “intelligentsia” really loses me is in the traditional anti-Israel/pro-Palestine cant. It’s not so much that I couldn’t accept a new Arab state called “Palestine” so much as that many left-liberal academics have this rather idealized view of a West Bank Palestine. They have only to look to Gaza to obtain a more realistic picture. Obama tried to make a lawyerly case in front of AIPAC but Farrakhan, Fleger, Wright, and Ayers speak otherwise and it is the traditional left which will hold sway over Obama. He’s been in bed with such people for too long. It seems to me that Obama is very much the type of person to feed America’s friends to the alligators in the hopes of being the last one eaten.

Inasmuch as the original comments were about the economics of an Obama administration, Obama’s generous trillion dollar expenditures in new programs, his intended expansion of government, and his reactionary tax policies are hardly “progressive” and can only considered “conciliatory” by self-loathing Americans. In typical “class warfare” fashion, Obama believes you win the race by hamstringing your fastest runners. Obamanomics will send a massive blood clot to America’s economic heart.

Free Reporter Barbara West! Imprisoned and Tortured by Fortress Obama

WFTV-Channel 9 has our hero of the day, Barbara West, who is right now being ripped apart by the Fortress Obama Media Suppression Squad. Watch Biden's eyes blink multiple times as he tries to beguile and intimidate the bold and courageous woman reporter with jive-ass remarks such as "Are you joking."

No, Joe, we're not joking. You need to answer the questions, and you need pwn up to what you said about Barack Obama during the primaries and recently, that Obama's not up to the job. Why else would he be so sequestered, shielded, protected? You can't hide all of it behind a smile, eye-blinking, and the peripatetic, pathetic verbiage which is your stock in trade.

It's just garbage, Joe, garbage. And you're trying to pull off the biggest scam in modern history.

Female Canadian Reporters Laughing At Obama and Biden

Honest Questions: Beyond Joe Biden’s Pay Grade!I thought Obama and his verbose sidekick were supposed to make America popular again outside the United States. I guess popularity in Gaza or Berlin is not the same as popularity in Canada where Judi McCleod dishes it about the "vile smile" of Joe Biden.

It's a great story Judi's written, but here in America we're getting used to Fortress Obama, a high and very dark wall which emits no light and very controlled information. Most of the American media is marching in lockstep to the Obama tune, but the press is stil free and independent in Judi McCleod's part of the world.

We'll have more on the Barbara West story later but read Judi right now. It's very accurate as well as entertaining.

Pennsylvania Doctors Running from Obama, Clinton, Rendell

I was wondering why there were so few young doctors in my home town in Pennsylvania until I read a Wall Street Journal article entitled "Pennsylvania is Driving Its Doctors Away" by Frederic Jarrett. Jarrett points out some startling bad news. It seems that Governor Rendell, who once supported lessening the insurance burden on Pennsylvania physicians, is now toadying up to Obama in the hope of getting a job. The photo of the grinning trio above should tip you off that something fishy is in the works. Jarrett says it's because Rendell wants to divert funds originally intended to protect PA Doctors from outrageous malpractice insurance premiums and use the money to expand Medicaid coverage.

It's a really whackjob idea to expand the pool of medicaid coverage patients who must beg for treatment amidst a diminishing pool of doctors who feel the need to flee the state. Here's some of what Jarett points out:

The state Department of Health reported earlier this year that the number of practicing physicians in Pennsylvania is down 6% from a few years ago.

Younger doctors just are not as willing to settle down in a state where liability payouts are twice the national average and physician income is 44th out of the 50 states.

Today, about 7%-9% of PA doctors are under 35. A few years ago, the number was 15%.

In some specialties, more than 40% of the practicing physicians are more than 50 years old.

Less than 80% of physicians with active licenses are engaged in patient care.

Newly minted doctors educated here are setting up their practices elsewhere. In 1992, 60% of residents stayed in Pennsylvania when they finished their training. Now only 20% do so.

What will Obama, Hillary, and Rendell dream up next? A cabinet level agency (comprised of lawyers like Obama, Clinton, and Rendell) to administer the millions in tort revenues sucked out of the blood of Pennsylvania physicians? Of course, if you earn three times the poverty level at your job, you will have to get your own medical insurance and vist your doctor who probably moved to a state like New Hampshire where doctors are respected and appreciated.

I'm a Bitter Gun Owner and I Vote in Pennsylvania

NRA-ILA :: Grassroots ActivismThis is funny considering Barack Obama's demonstrated contempt for Pennsylvanians who hunt, own handguns, or read the bible. It was at a fancy San Francisco soiree that Obama issued his now famous condemnation of Pennsylvanians when he thought that nobody was in earshot.

"They're bitter in Pennsylvania and all they can do is cling to guns and religions."

Playing the part of the urban hipster, Obama went on to brag about his coolness and distance from the uglier facts of life which most of us have to endure. Sucess in politics, as in life, was all a matter of how you said things, according to Obama. Surely, the most viscious tryants would readily succumb to his Chicago style inside politics wit and hyperbolic rhetorical flourishes. So believes Obama.

Anyway, buy a yard sign, if only to stick it up Obama's skinny rear end. The money goes for a good cause--2nd Amendment Constitutional rights. And Join the NRA. Do it now, before Obama stations a gun warden inside your living room.

We've created a new yard sign that will send a message from all of you "bitter" gun owners to Obama this election season with our own slogan: "I'm a Bitter Gun Owner and I Vote!"

It has been estimated that well-placed campaign signs can account for four percentage points on Election Day. Think back to the 2000 presidential election, where 537 votes in Florida separated George W. Bush from Al Gore, and four points seems like a landslide! While you are focused like a laser beam on the November 4 election, some gun owners may not be aware of what's at stake for the future of the Second Amendment on Election Day.

To help us raise gun owner awareness of the impending election, and to market NRA's campaign efforts, we have three colorful, patriotic campaign yard signs for sale featuring our "I'm the NRA & I Vote," "Vote Freedom First," and our newest, "I'm a Bitter Gun Owner and I Vote!" slogans.

These high quality signs are bold, durable, and easy to assemble. Everything needed to assemble the sign is contained in one compact package, and all components are made in the USA.

Each sign costs a very reasonable $15.95, or you can order a combination pack of two signs for $26.95, or three signs for $38.95 (includes shipping and handling). A portion of the proceeds goes directly to NRA-ILA to assist our efforts to protect, preserve, and strengthen our Second Amendment rights!

By proudly displaying your NRA yard sign, and showing your support for the Second Amendment, you will greatly enhance our ability to deliver victory for pro-gun candidates on November 4!

Please call (866) 869-6389 or visit www.nrailasigns.org to order your NRA yard signs TODAY!

Obama's Illinois Gun Ban Record

It's hunting season in Pennsylvania and elsewhere and Obama's legal teams are waiting in the blinds to shoot down 2nd Amendment Constitutional rights of citizens to bear arms. To say so, of course, is to be accused of scare tactics but Obama's pencil-necked geeky anti-gun lawyers are the real scare. Because they lead pampered and indulged live in the Ivory Towers of a liberal-left Utopia, they are certain that they can do your thinking better than you can.

But Obama and his shady retinue of anti-2nd Amendment jockstrap caddies are lying when they tell you they are looking for a handgun ban. For that matter, it's hard to find an issue upon which Obama hasn't lied, isn't currently lying, or is planning to lie. Here's an open leter from Illinois State Rifle Association Executive Director Richard Pearson written in October 2008:

Fellow Sportsman,
Hello, my name is Rich Pearson and I have been active in the firearm rights movement for over 40 years. For the past 15 years, I have served in the Illinois state capitol as the chief lobbyist for the Illinois State Rifle Association.

I lobbied Barack Obama extensively while he was an Illinois State Senator. As a result of that experience, I know Obama's attitudes toward guns and gun owners better than anyone. The truth be told, in all my years in the Capitol I have never met a legislator who harbors more contempt for the law-abiding firearm owner than does Barack Obama.

Although Obama claims to be an advocate for the 2nd Amendment, his voting record in the Illinois Senate paints a very different picture. While a state senator, Obama voted for a bill that would ban nearly every hunting rifle, shotgun and target rifle owned by Illinois citizens. That same bill would authorize the state police to raid homes of gun owners to forcibly confiscate banned guns. Obama supported a bill that would shut down law-abiding firearm manufacturers including Springfield Armory, Armalite, Rock River Arms and Les Baer. Obama also voted for a bill that would prohibit law-abiding citizens from purchasing more than one gun per month.

Without a doubt, Barack Obama has proven himself to be an enemy of the law abiding firearm owner. At the same time, Obama has proven himself to be a friend to the hardened criminal. While a state senator, Obama voted 4 times against legislation that would allow a homeowner to use a firearm in defense of home and family.

Does Barack Obama still sound to you like a "friend" of the law-abiding gun owner?

And speaking of friends, you can always tell a person by the company they keep. Obama counts among his friends the Rev. Michael Pfleger - a renegade Chicago priest who has openly called for the murder of gun shop owners and pro-gun legislators. Then there is his buddy Richard Daley, the mayor of Chicago who has declared that if it were up to him, nobody would be allowed to own a gun. And let's not forget Obama's pal George Soros - the guy who has pumped millions of dollars into the UN's international effort to disarm law-abiding citizens.

Obama has shown that he is more than willing to use other people's money to fund his campaign to take your guns away from you. While a board member of the leftist Joyce Foundation, Barack Obama wrote checks for tens of millions of dollars to extremist gun control organizations such as the Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence and the Violence Policy Center.

Does Barack Obama still sound to you like a "friend" of the law-abiding gun owner?

By now, I'm sure that many of you have received mailings from an organization called "American Hunters and Shooters Association(AHSA)" talking about what a swell fellow Obama is and how he honors the 2nd Amendment and how you will never have to worry about Obama coming to take your guns. Let me make it perfectly clear - everything the AHSA says about Obama is pure hogwash. The AHSA is headed by a group of left-wing elitists who subscribe to the British view of hunting and shooting. That is, a state of affairs where hunting and shooting are reserved for the wealthy upper-crust who can afford guided hunts on exclusive private reserves. The AHSA is not your friend, never will be.

In closing, I'd like to remind you that I'm a guy who has actually gone nose to nose with Obama on gun rights issues. The Obama I know cannot even begin to identify with this nation's outdoor traditions. The Obama I know sees you, the law abiding gun owner, as nothing but a low-class lummox who is easily swayed by the flash of a smile and a ration of rosy rhetoric. The Obama I know is a stony-faced liar who has honed his skill at getting what he wants - so long as people are willing to give it to him.

That's the Barack Obama I know.

The ISRA is the state's leading advocate of safe, lawful and responsible firearms ownership. Founded in 1903, the ISRA has represented the interests of millions of law-abiding Illinois firearm owners.

My Republican Vote for John McCain Doesn’t Count: ACORN

I guess there’s no point in voting but I’m going to vote for John McCain anyway. There’s no point in my vote because ACORN has been around the country stuffing registration databases with phony names, pet names, Dallas Cowboy team members, dead people and visitors from Outer Space. No doubt my McCain vote will be cancelled out by a gerbil named John Smith.

The latest ACORN attack on democracy is in Alabama. Six counties in Alabama have more registered voters than they have voters of eligible voting age. This is typical of the ACORN attacks on democracy in other states, and it’s well known that the Obama Dirty Tricks Squad has been very active in my state, Pennsylvania. With the race so close, and with a dismissive attitude by the atrophied pro-Obama liberal media, it is very likely the New and Old Left politicians will be able to pull off a ballot box coup d’etat.

A Google search shows ACORN fraud across the country and it is interesting that the media is so “in the bag” for Obama that there are actually far-left news articles claiming that federal investigations of massive ACORN voter fraud are Republican attempt to “suppress the vote.” Yeah, well right!.... Let’s not suppress the fraudulent voters. We might do permanent damage to their self-esteem.

But I’m mad, even madder than that guy who told McCain he was mad. I’m so mad my head could explode in the voting booth, leaving brain matter all over the place. It’s likely your head will explode, too, and then what? That will be the only brain matter used by the officials who manage and enforce the legal provisions of a voting democracy.

We need to implement some system of photo or BIO ID voting IMMEDIATELY!

Obama Pal Gov. Deval Patrick has tie$ to embattled ACORN - BostonHerald.com

Gov. Deval Patrick has tie$ to embattled ACORN - BostonHerald.comThere were some people in the Chicago Area saying that Obama and close friend Deval Patrick were on the "down-low." I don't know exactly what that means but maybe it means that Deval Patrick is Barack Obama's BBF. It's kinda' cute really, except that the friendship was such that Obama felt comfortable enough to borrow a campaign speech from Deval Patrick and deliver it when he was running against Hillary clinton. The conservative press caught Obama on that one and he was embarrassed. I guess they'll both be embarrassed by the ACORN connection of the two politician. Click the headline and read the Boston newspaper.

Obama's Millions Could Shrink U.S. Budget Deficit

How much money does it really cost to buy an election? No kidding, I'd really like to know. I'd imagine there is a finite sum that one could spend to ensure that one's candidate could become president, no matter the qualifications. I'd like to know what that figure is.

I know one thing. Barack Hussein Obama has raised $150 million in September alone. I've no idea where the money comes from and Obama's not about to tell us, but that's a good chunk of change. If Obama's lied about "public funding," he owes us at least some "public information" about where the money comes from.

When you add the $150 million in September with the small chunks of about $50 million in other months, he could shrink the budget deficit entirely by himself. So why does he have to use our taxpaying money to fund his future trillion dollars in new spending?

But Obama's not going to use his fundraising abilities to shrink the deficit or put it to other good use. He says it is more important to get himself elected. I'd rather Obama kept his word about public funding and used the money to either shrink the deficit or give it directly to people who need it far worse than the political ad agencies.

Colin Powell is a Stark Contrast with Barack Obama

The buzz around Colin Powell’s expected endorsement of Barack Obama will thrill the Obama camp followers but, at the same time, they’ve got to worry about the contrast between Obama and Powell. So far as I can tell, they have only a single thing in common.

General Colin Powell was an architect of the Gulf Wars and, like McCain, long served his country with selfless patriotism. Obama talks about his “humble origins” and frequently mentions that his mother was on food stamps for a while. But in the Sixties and Seventies, a lot of people were on food stamps, and “living off the fat of the land” was common among middle class hippies and others who felt the collective need of a long break from the nine-to-five work-a-day Johnnie world. Obama’s mother was such a Bohemian, a left-liberal activist, and rebelled against her Midwestern roots.

Colin Powell, on the other hand, grew up poor and ambitious in a New York Borough neighborhood. He took one long look around in his Harlem neighborhood and decided to make something of himself. Here’s what a quick bio from Wiki has to say about him:

Powell was born in Harlem, a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Manhattan in 1937 to Jamaican immigrant parents and was raised in the South Bronx. He also has Scottish, and other ancestries.[1] Powell attended Morris High School, a former public school in The Bronx, New York City, from which he graduated in 1954. While in school, he worked a local shop where he picked up Yiddish from the shopkeepers and some of the customers. He remembers some of his Yiddish to this day.[2] He gained a bachelor's degree in geology from City College of New York attaining a "C" average, according to his 2006 graduation address at Marymount University. He later obtained an MBA from The George Washington University after his second tour in Vietnam in 1971.

I can understand why Powell would join the 92 percent of African-Americans who supported Obama in the primaries. And I admire the other 8 percent who supported Hillary and who may now support McCain. Both positions reflect courage, given their respective statuses and the incredible political pressures generate by this election campaign.

But the most striking thing about the Colin Powell endorsement is the sharp contrast between men like Powell and McCain who dedicated themselves to America and men like Barack Obama who dedicated themselves to convenient, and ethically suspect (if not outright corrupt), political opportunism. I would worry about that contrast if I were one of the Obamanites.

McCain Champions Boxing Regulations in Lonely Fight - WSJ.com

McCain Champions Boxing Regulations in Lonely Fight - WSJ.comSenator John McCain has been a long time boxing supporter. I've seen him ringside at many events over the years--on big fight televised events. McCain boxed at the Naval Academy many years ago--he sees the sport as a character builder. It seems to have worked where he's concerned.

Obama's Gun Control Mania

Behind the shady goings on in the Obama campaign is the looming figure of internationalist America hating George Soros. It's no secret that Obama is trying to buy this campaign and he has plenty of money to stifle the airwaves and soffocate the opposition. He's spending millions to buy whole hourly segments of television time to carpet bomb voters with an Obama propaganda film. This is in addition to the 3 million daiily dollars in regular campaign ads. Obama believes far more in the power of money to buy the votes than he does in his so-called "platform." The world hasn't seen such a whitewash since Lenni Reifenstahl used film to aggrandize the Hitler regime at the 1939 Olympics. Film at 11.

George Soros and Barack Obama are big gun control freaks who support the U.N initiatives on world gun control. Actually, they support any and all gun control efforts.

You can understand how then I "laughed and cried" at the radio ad I heard yesterday which conveys the "testimonial" of an imaginatory "NRA member" who "supports Barack Obama." It went something like this:

" Obama's great. People are trying to scare you that Obama will take away your guns but that is a lie. Barack Obama supports your right to bear arms.I'm an NRA member and I support Barack Obama.

Let me tell you somoething: Real NRA members and many other responsible gun-owning Americans don't support Barack Obama. If you're not an NRA member, I would urge you to join it as I did. If you don't have the money, join it when you get some. But here's the truth abot the Obama anti-gun mania:

Obama wants to overturn the recent Supreme Court Decision reinforcing the 2nd Amendment. He wants to interpret the decision in a peculiar way which will allow you to own single-shot shotguns.

Obama would ban all auto and semi-auto weapons and anything that looks like an "assault weapon" even though criminals would be able to obtain "ghettoe sweepers" easily on the black market.

Even though Obama will "allow" single-shot rifles, you will have to climb a high mountain of red tape to get one. Since you can't be trusted, you will have to be registered in a national data base for single-shot shotgun/rifle owners.

If you own guns that do not fit into Obama's gun-control mania, you will be a criminal in your own country and subject to arrest and prosecution. Your arrest and prosecution will be a political issue rather than a legal one since the U.S. constitution guarantees your right to bear arms under the 2nd Amendment.

Keep in mind that Obama supported a total ban on civilian ownership of handguns while he was a state senator from Illinois. He would have you think he "changed" his views but "changed" views from Obama are designed to gain votes. Keep in mind that he changed his mind about Farrakhan, Wright, Fleger, Ayers, Rezko, Auchi, and others who would cause people not to vote for Obama.

The Long and Short of the Palin Alaska Investigation

The following is plagiarized from the Fox News Website. I'm in a damn hurry--go to the website to read the whole thing at :http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/10/palin-pre-empts-state-report-clears-self-trooper-probe/

But this is the condensed long and short of it:

The McCain-Palin campaign's report instead blames former campaign opponent, Andrew Halcro, who has a blog, of conspiring with Wooten to pin Monegan's dismissal on the family's dispute with Wooten. Three days after Monegan was fired, they say, Wooten told his ex-wife, Palin's sister, that: "You guys are going down. Get ready for the show."

Two days after that confrontation, they say, Halcro and Wooten met at a hotel bar in Anchorage for more than three hours -- and that evening, Halcro posted the first accusations on his blog that Monegan had been fired because of a vendetta against Wooten by the Palin family.

"It is tragic that a false story hatched by a blogger after drinks with Trooper Wooten led the legislature to allocate over $100,000 of public money to be spent in what has become a politically driven investigation," the 21-page report concludes.

Although the report describes Wooten as a separate issue, the McCain campaign goes into great detail about the "rogue" state police officer and his "long history of unstable and erratic behavior."

The campaign describes allegations of violence, including threatening Palin's family and shooting his stepson with a stun gun.

The report also includes allegations that Wooten cheated the workers' compensation system.

CNBC Reports Wall Street Drop is Reaction to Obama Presidency

Okay, the headline is the usual eye-catching crap required of internet-media market attention getting. But it's TRUE. Carlos Quintanilla mentioned it to galloping guest reporter and NBC headcaster John Harwood. Here's the almost direct quote:

"
So hey, John...many people around here are saying that the market is reacting to the prospect of huge tax increases which would result from an Obama presidency. What do you think?"

Harwood tried to mute the issue with his response, though he did acknowledge that the economy was tracking opposite to yesterday's polls favoring Obama, That, too, is a way of saying things, but in the fast changing world which sees the world economy suffocating, Harwood was using yesterday's vomit to gauge today's menu.

I've never been a big believer in polls and this year has to be the worst. So far as the polls go, McCain jumped 6 points in one day as the world beocmes more aware of Rezko, Wright, Fleger, Ayers, Auchi, and that Palestinian extremist whose name I can't recalll right now. But I don't believe that either--too many people have been screwing with the polls and with public opinion and with broadcast media to be right or reliable.

The only thing I'm clear on is that things are bad, really, really bad, bad on a whole lot of levels, and I ain't voting for Obama and his Baloney Brother, Joe Biden.

Bring on the Fanny Mae - Freddie Mac Hearings

Barney and Chris are making political hay out of hearings with the Lehman and AIG CEO. It must be a lot of fun fooling the voting public which pays little attention to economic fundamentals. All the public knows is that they're losing money. Understandably angry, it is easy for politicians to dissemble and deceive the voters.

Senate Banking Bigwigs like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd have resisted a stepped up hearing schedules on Fanny and Freddie. FAnny and Freddie hearings should be a priority on the hearing agenda. As it is, they're using AIG and Lehman hearings as a smokescreen so people can cluck, point the finger, get angry and not learn what and who caused the problems in the economy. It's a no-brainer--no money down "creative" mortgage financing to people who couldn't pay. This is the real red meat of the economic problems. But the Democratic pols want to postpone the real hearings and protect Democratic politicians.

Fanny and Freddie account for Six Trillion of the Twelve Trillion dollars in bad loans. Barney and Chris are protecting Obama's cronies and campaign advisors like Franklin Raines, Jim Johnson, and Jame Gorelick, all of whom walked away with millions as they ran the GSEs into the ground.

Barney and Chris need to resign from the House Banking Committees and be censured by the Senate and House. The rest of the CEOs, who got jobs through nepotism, need to be put in jail.

Barack Obama Bailout Plan for CBS

Yes, that's right. Not satisfied with spending the millions of dollars in foreign and U.S. contributions to his campaign coffers on typical advertisements, Obama has now bought an entire program for himself.

So now that voters are choking on the millions of dollars in scurrilous, deceptive, and uninformative Obama ads, they can now watch an tightly focused Obama Documentary about?...you guessed it...Obama! Word is that Obama is also considering dumping millions into NBC. I only mention it to indicate the kind of audiences Obama is aiming for--presuming demographics data is right about the education levels of the average television viewer.

But hey, Obama.... You don't have to buy the programming--the MSM has been giving you the coverage for free for two years. And with people like Letitia Goins getting paid for registering and voting six or seven times, how can you lose?

You'd just be handing money to the corporations for nothing...er, for almost nothing...err...for continued support.

Obama Dumps Homeowners in Favor of Big Business

Just another example of Barack Obama's willingness to say anything to get votes. One day he exhibits sympathy for homeowners in trouble with their mortgages and the next day he blasts John McCAin on a real plan to help out those in need.

McCain's plan is geared toward those who are behind on their mortgage but who are responsible and working their butts off to stay in their homes. It's better planning than to give the money to Corporate Lawyers on Vacation in California luxury spas.

Oh, wait..that's not unusual.... Obama is a lawyer. He can be for things at the same time he is against them. He'll probably come up with something academic and philosophical to explain that, his campaign cronies will re-state what he really meant to say, and ACORN will be at work creating a fraudulent landslide.

Unless America wakes up to this pending disaster.

The Meaning of Negative Ads: Obama Objects!

There seems to be some confusion in the MSM about "negative ads." Negative ads are the ones that criticize Barack Obama. Obama campaign ads are never "negative." Just watch MSNBC for about 5 minutes. Every burp from the McCain campaign is amplified and interpreted as an oupouring of hatred. Muffled audio audience utterances are "translated" into attack machine vitriol. If you boo Obama, the MSNBC "translators" will say you threatened his life. Among Obama supporters across the media, there is no distinction between truthful criticism and "negative ads."

Telling the truth about your opponent, if you're a Republican or a Democrat supporting McCain-Palin, is a negative ad. Saying that Barack Obama is a friend of acknowledged bomber Bill Ayers is a negative ad. Saying that Obama got his political booster shots at Ayer's house is a negative ad. Saying that Barack Obama sat in the hate-spewing Rev. Wright's church for 20 years is a negative ad. Saying that Obama received support from Antoin Rezko in politics and in the purchase of his Chicago mansion is a "negative ad." To say that Obama can't possibly keep his campaign promises is a "negative ad." To criticize ACORN's pervasive voter fraud campaign is to be guilty of "negative ads." To say that Obama jettisoned Hillary Clinton for reasons of ego and because it played to his male-centered supporters is a "negative ad." Saying that "character" is an issue is a "negative ad." Saying that Obama is lying when he's lying is a "negative ad."

Just face it, McCain-Palin supporters. Breathing, speaking, and particularly voting for Republicans is a negative ad. I hope you are clear about your transgressions now.

ACORN is for Squirrels

If the authorities won't do anything about ACORN voter fraud, then the only reason could be that it is a condoned and acceptable practice. I would urge that every Republican register under at least ten different names. There are as yet thousands of unused names. Just think of all the Disney characters you can register. Scour world literature for names that liberals never heard of. Don't ignore the phone book--there are plenty of unused names in there. Vote early and vote often.

Oh, and a word of caution. Don't register the Dallas Cowboys football team. The team has been registered by the left-wing ACORN organization. Hey, didn't they hire Obama?

Joe "Baloney" Biden Eats at Katie's Restaurant

Joe Baloney wants to connect with Joe Six-Pack. The problem is that he's lying about his ostensible salt of the earth roots. He told voters to meet him at the local "Katie's Restaurant" in Delaware so that they could discuss matters of concern to 'average Americans." Getting down with Joe Baloney. His staff forgot to tell him that Katie's Restaurant, a place where the common people used to hang out, had closed in the 1980s. Harmless poltical b.s, it's true, but some of the mistakes that Biden makes are dangerous considering that Obamanites are touting Joe Baloney's experience.

Here's a list of Joe Baloney Biden's intentional misleading statements during the VP debate with Sarah Palin:

1. TAX VOTE: Biden said McCain voted "the exact same way" as Obama to increase taxes on Americans earning just $42,000, but McCain DID NOT VOTE THAT WAY.

2. AHMEDINIJAD MEETING: Joe Biden lied when he said that Barack Obama never said that he would sit down unconditionally with Mahmoud Ahmedinijad of Iran. Barack Obama did say specifically, and Joe Biden attacked him for it.

3. OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING: Biden said, "Drill we must." But Biden has opposed offshore drilling and even compared offshore drilling to "raping" the Outer Continental Shelf."

4. TROOP FUNDING: Joe Biden lied when he indicated that John McCain and Barack Obama voted the same way against funding the troops in the field. John McCain opposed a bill that included a timeline, that the President of the United States had already said he would veto regardless of it's passage.

5. OPPOSING CLEAN COAL: Biden says he's always been for clean coal, but he just told a voter that he is against clean coal and any new coal plants in America and has a record of voting against clean coal and coal in the U.S. Senate.

6. ALERNATIVE ENERGY VOTES: According to FactCheck.org, Biden is exaggerating and overstating John McCain's record voting for alternative energy when he says he voted against it 23 times.

7. HEALTH INSURANCE: Biden falsely said McCain will raise taxes on people's health insurance coverage -- they get a tax credit to offset any tax hike. Independent fact checkers have confirmed this attack is false

8. OIL TAXES: Biden falsely said Palin supported a windfall profits tax in Alaska -- she reformed the state tax and revenue system, it's not a windfall profits tax.

9. AFGHANISTAN / GEN. MCKIERNAN COMMENTS: Biden said that top military commander in Iraq said the principles of the surge could not be applied to Afghanistan, but the commander of NATO's International Security Assistance Force Gen. David D. McKiernan said that there were principles of the surge strategy, including working with tribes, that could be applied in Afghanistan.

10.REGULATION: Biden falsely said McCain weakened regulation -- he actually called for more regulation on Fannie and Freddie.

11.IRAQ: When Joe Biden lied when he said that John McCain was "dead wrong on Iraq", because Joe Biden shared the same vote to authorize the war and differed on the surge strategy where they John McCain has been proven right.

12.TAX INCREASES: Biden said Americans earning less than $250,000 wouldn't see higher taxes, but the Obama-Biden tax plan would raise taxes on individuals making $200,000 or more.

13.BAILOUT: Biden said the economic rescue legislation matches the four principles that Obama laid out, but in reality it doesn't meet two of the four principles that Obama outlined on Sept. 19, which were that it include an emergency economic stimulus package, and that it be part of "part of a globally coordinated effort with our partners in the G-20."

14.REAGAN TAX RATES: Biden is wrong in saying that under Obama, Americans won't pay any more in taxes then they did under Reagan.

Bob Gibbs: Obama Campaign Advisor on Fox News

Obama wrote the forward for Bill Ayers' book yet Gibbs says that Obama didn't know Ayers. If ever there was a more brazen flunky and Obama apologist, it is Mr. Gibbs. Of course, Gibbs launched into a discussion of the fuzz on his navel rather than deal with the questions put to him. Gibbs would be understandably loathe to admit of Obama's left-wing imprimatur, reflected in his assocation with mad bomber and America hater William Ayers in several contexts. Obama was hired by Ayers as an attorney and director of an Annenberg Fund. It was in Ayers house that Obama kicked off his campaign for the state senate of Illinois. They fraternize within the same neighborhood. That's wonderful but why lie about it?

Obama's as left as America's leaders have ever gone. Yet, why would the campaign spend millions on advertising to convince voters that he's mainstream? All one has to do is peruse the Kos and other bulletin boards and the internet forums to see that Obama could admit of his socialist agenda, run on a Socialist ticket, and still get plenty of votes. Why the charade?

Obama: President of World Internationale

Barack Obama is getting a lot of financial support from outside the country. The RNC is filing a complaint with the election commission to counteract the flood of money. Obama did return several thousand dollars to two Palestinian men raising money for Obama by selling Obama Tee Shirts in the West Bank. Discuss amongst yourselves…..

Of course, some of the people contributing to the Obama campaign from inside the country are kind of acting like they live outside the country. The “internationalist” philosophy of Obama, Ayers, Farrakhan, Wright and others who live in Obama’s neighborhood represents the interests of a narrow band of countries who see the creation of the state of Israel as the root of all the world’s problems. The other Great Enemy of “internationalism” is capitalism—for the other guy. All the aforementioned persons live well outside the means of most people in America and, like Obama, have compromised themselves (Rezko) to gain traction.

Just as the commissars of the old Soviet Union lived the high life while demagoguing the issues among the less fortunate, so do Obama and his radical socialist-left policies try to manipulate an electorate which suffers from a mainstream media propaganda drenching.

Madeleine Albright's Message from Starbucks

"There's a special place in hell for women who don't support other women."

The message may have been Madeleine Albright's but it was conveyed by Vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin at a rally. Where did she get the message? Well, she found it on her coffeecup. You know...one of those deals like reading the cereal box before your eyes have opened in the morning.

Madeleine Albright was Bill Clinton's Secretary of State and often remarked about the difficulties of being a woman on the American political scene. She was a champion of women's rights, calling attention to the oppression of women not only in America, but in other male-dominant countries.

Funny that you mentioned it, Sarah. Many Hillary supporters, both men and women, noticed the subtle anti-women signals sent by the Obama campaign. Those who weren't getting it couldn't fail to get it when Obama rejected Hillary with her very solid 18 million votes and victories in important swing states like Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Granted there were a few people who preferred Obama to Hillary for other reasons, but the choice of a 65 year old 30-year Beltway Boy was a bit grating--even more when you hear the rote verbiage coming out of Biden's mouth. Oh, and Biden was born in that "bitter" state which is "clinging to guns and religion.

Of course, there were four people in Chicago and three in San Francisco who just loved Biden's plan to break Iraq into three separate countries.

Palin says Obama friendly with terrorists | Reuters

WRAPUP 1-Palin says Obama friendly with terrorists | Reuters It's better that the mainstream media state secret about Obama's affection for the enemies of America gets out now rather than later. The Obama camp has run one of the dirtiest campaigns in modern history and now they're whining because Sarah Palin is too far away from the sophistry and politics of Washington that she would sugar-coat the truth.

A Reuters news service reports on Palin's mention of Obama's affiliations with the unrepentant America hater William Ayers, a member of the Chicago political mob which arranged Obama's rise in politics.

Leave it to Sarah.... and to Reuters...for reporting what the mainstream, slipshod media has tried to hide from voters.

Does Hillary Support Transfer to McCain-Palin?

A Previous Report by Laura Conway detailed the McCain – Palin message of a campaign rally in Lebanon, Ohio. Afterward, Laura interviewed some of her business associates and friends to see what they thought about McCain-Palin. Interestingly, one of Laura’s friends is a Democrat and a previous supporter of Hillary Clinton. As with many women in the business world, the “glass ceiling” message advanced by Hillary Clinton got through to her, but will it transfer now to Sarah Palin, now that this previously unknown dynamo may be fast-tracked to be America’s 1st woman president? Here’s what Laura found out:

After the throngs of people slowly filed out of the grand stand stage, I went into the “Golden Lame” restaurant to sit down for lunch and discuss with some of my Cincinnati friends what they thought about the rally. Here's an excerpted view of my Q and A with some McCain-Palin campaign event attendees:

First, I asked Carol Greene, a registered Democrat, why she decided to go to the McCain-Palin campaign event today.

“Because of the enthusiasm about the ticket and having never attended a live political rally before," said Carol.

I next asked Carol what she found most important in terms of the content of the McCain-Palin speeches.

“Palin's experience and her accomplishments with the oil industry. McCain’s smile and authenticity," Carol told me.

She felt that now she has seen a softer, personal side of the McCain persona. Carol implied she was won over somewhat by the McCain Palin reform message. She was disappointed, however, that neither McCain nor Palin had mentioned their policies toward Israel, an important issue to her.

“How do you think you are going to vote in November”? I asked Carol.

Carol told me she was still undecided but leaning strongly now towards McCain.

Next, I interviewed Karen Cheyne, a registered Republican, asking the same questions I'd put to Greenberg. Karen also said she was responding to the historical moment of the occasion.

"I wanted to see McCain and Palin together," said Karen.

For Karen, it was the first time she had attended a live political rally. She found it exciting and interesting, different from watching a campaign appearance as a television viewer.

I next asked Karen what she felt was most important in the content of the McCain and Palin talks with the audience. An astute political observer, Karen was quick with her answer:

“Pork barrel spending and ear marks were the most important hot buttons for me. I'm very much against the pork which is embedded in many bills."

Karen told me she was very disappointed to hear how many ear marks Barack Obama had signed off on.

"Obama signed off on over $900 million dollars in ear marks during his short tenure as Senator--almost $1 million dollars for every day he has been in office!“ Karen said with apparent disgust.

Karen was impressed with how both McCain and Palin came across in-person live, rather than on TV. They seemed to really compliment each other. She was impressed with Sarah’s husband, a manly figure who seemed at ease with the process and supportive of Governor Palin, a possible future vice-president of the United States.

“I was intent on voting for McCain already but the rally strongly reinforced my decision. I am really excited about my choice. McCain’s pick of Sarah and their dynamics added life to the ticket”.

I wasn't alone in interviewing the McCain Palin campaign attendees. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was humming with activity. Broadcast media and newspaper people were running around conducting interviews and feeding off the frenzy. I just sat back with a big smile on my face soaking up the whole experience and looking outside as the sun finally broke through the gray sky. What a fine day it had turned out to be! I felt lucky in being able to participate in such a historical moment and felt renewed confidence in America's future. Most importantly, I felt very proud to be an American!

McCain - Palin Looking Strong in Ohio

Since Day One of the 2008 Presidential Primary Campaign, all you heard in the tanked media was that McCain was going to lose. For a time, the conventional wisdom was that he had lost already. So much for the conventional wisdom.

McCain's still standing, and while he's behind in the polls, he's not so far behind that the Obamanites can breathe easy. First of all, the Obama camp knows they've got a slight lead based not so much on the strength of their candidate, but simply because of the economy and because the mainstream media is in the tank with Obama. The economy also is in the tank with Democrats like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, irresponsible engineers of the Fanny Mae-Freddy Mac disaster. It's really a hoot to hear Democrats criticizing McCain on the economy. Obama advisors Jim Johnson, Jamie Gorelick, and Franklin Raines walked away with millions of no-money-down-pay-what-if-and-when mortgage debt bonuses while they ran the GSEs into the ground.

Anyway, if there's ever been an election year when things may not be what they seem or are said to be, this is it. Don't trust the polls this year unless you understand you may be looking at the part of an iceberg which rises out of the ocean. John McCain is still there, still strong, and stronger yet with his choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate. Consider the barrage of smears aimed at the Barracuda by the mainstream press before she rolled up on Biden in the VP debate and took a good slice out of his hide. But it's the same old story. Should the mainstream media find some good news about McCain-Palin, they ignore it and bury it.

But don't forget that there's more to the iceberg than the part sticking out of the sea. If you're tired of hearing it from me, you can read the report filed by crack reporter Laura Conway as she attended a McCain-Palin rally in Lebanon Ohio. This is not how CNN or MSNBC or the New York Times feels about the race--this story is about how real people see McCain-Palin.

Laura is not only a writer-reporter--she's also served in executive positions with some of America's leading corporations. This is Laura's account of the McCain-Palin rally in Lebanon, Ohio.... :

<Lebanon, Ohio, Tuesday, September 9th, 2008. It is an unseasonably cool, overcast, and humid day in Southwest Ohio but it does not matter, everyone is anticipating the opportunity to witness history. No matter what happens in the general election in November, I want to say that I was here and took part in the political process among average citizens.

My neighbor and I decided to make the drive from Cincinnati north to Lebanon, OH, historically a farm community and a Republican stronghold. Lebanon has developed and grown over the years but still represents small town Americana with history intertwined all around you. The “Golden Lame” restaurant has played an integral role in history with 12 Republican Presidents making an appearance at this very spot; the likes of Garfield, McKinley, Adams, Harding, Taft, Grant, and Reagan to new a few.

After finding a parking place, we walked what seemed like a mile to the end of the very long line which wound around the main town square. Everyone was ready to face the elements; equipped with rain gear, umbrellas, parkas, (you get the general idea). Citizens followed the rules, despite the crowds and elements, people quietly and systematically waited patiently and moved through the process. There was quiet conversation and occasional jokes shared by complete strangers.

Amidst the rain and wind, there were people selling tee shirts and campaign pins with slogans from “No Bama” to “Making History, McCain & Palin”, “Moms for Palin” and people were buying pins and shirts by the dozen. There were also some bright local business owners selling warm bread, cinnamon rolls, and hot coffee while intermittent rain fell hard at times splashing off thousands of umbrellas, trees, and rooftops.

Outside of the “Golden Lame” restaurant and hotel, the grand stand stage was set up. Looking across and down the wide main street, buildings had a small American flag sitting in each window sill with local townspeople looking out and watching the event unfold. The band is playing background music that flows through the streets of Lebanon and the rain periodically pelts down but it does not matter. Everyone is focused on the final goal; getting through security and into the main stage area to witness history, to be part of it. And before passing through security, everyone had to surrender their umbrellas. What happens if there is a downpour? Oh well, it was worth it to the crowd to get cold and soaking wet. It was all worth it. These same umbrellas would be stacked up on the side of the streets creating a “ sea of umbrellas” like I have never seen before.

Anticipation:
Downtown Lebanon was completely overtaken by the rally. All businesses and schools were closed for the day in anticipation of this historic event. Security was on high alert with sharp shooters on every rooftop, right in front of you. The keynote speakers were scheduled to start talking @ 10:00 AM, however, they were running late. The band played several Ohio state fight songs to keep the crowd going. Everyone really got into the music and was shooting, singing, and dancing in whatever space they could find to move. They were expecting 5,000 people and 10,000 showed up.

You could sense and feel the excitement in the air, it was flowing out of the music, movement, and psychic of the crowd. What really struck me about the people in attendance was the number of youth; there were so many young children, teens, 20’s, 30’s, etc. They were so excited to witness the same history. At different points, the crowd would just start chanting, “Sarah, Sarah, Sarah” and “USA, USA, USA”.
There were several guest speakers that did a very good job, however, when Sarah Palin and John McCain finally took the stage, the air was electrifying. In-person, Sarah is “lightening in a bottle”. She has something that is very rare with a politician, the ability to come across as “real and accessible”. Right away, you feel and sense that you know her, who she is, what she stands for, and people automatically are drawn to her because they can relate to her on some many different levels. I personally was pleased that she spent 5-7 minutes talking specifically about her record of executive experience in Alaska which built her credibility as a leader. She discussed that she “lowered property taxes, income taxes, and cut unnecessary expenses which resulted in budget surplus. She gave the excess money back to the good people of Alaska”. The crowd went crazy.

John McCain was right on stage with Palin the whole time she was speaking and the dynamics and synergy of them together really works well. McCain is comfortable with the star charisma of Palin but he holds himself as the strong Commander and Chief. The two mavericks set the audience on their feet. There is true excitement and energy behind this Republican ticket. They talked a lot about what they will do as change agents and fighting pork-barrel spending and not allowing ear marks was strongly communicated.

Barack Obama and the ACORN Connection

Another story hidden in the Obama Media Tank is the story of Obama’s connections with ACORN, a “community organization” convicted of voter fraud in 2006 currently being investigated for election fraud in six states.

ACORN endorses Obama and works primarily in the inner cities to line up Obama supporters/voters. The love affair between Obama and ACORN goes back a long way, even to the era when he joined with convicted bomber William Ayers to channel public money to the ACORN organization.

What role did Obama play for ACORN. Who knows the whole story since the media is so much in the tank for far-left Democrat Barack Obama? But Obama served in double roles for the ACORN organization:

• Obama was the lawyer representing ACORN’s political interest. (Political interests seem mainly to have been in registering non-existent or deceased voters to defraud the electoral system).

• Obama served as a trainer for ACORN, teaching its new members how to circumvent and deal with local governing bodies in obtaining money for the organization.

In just one example, ACORN registered 1800 new voters in Washington. When fraud investigators looked into the matter, they found that, of the 1800 newly register voters, only six were legitimate. There is much reason to worry about ACORN voter fraud in this coming election. ACORN is busy in Ohio and other states, trying to rack up easy votes in the big cities by registering the homeless and other unfortunates, oftentimes by paying them with money or small favors.

Even more cause for worry is that fact that Obama’s Democrats put a 20 billion “paycheck” for ACORN and similar far-left organizations into the House Bailout Plan. I don’t want to pay for that with my tax money and neither did 95 Democrats who didn’t want to be associated with it. Insofar as that goes, Republicans who were sympathetic to the need for a rescue plan were put in a very bad position by the addition of the ACORN bailout-handout and voted largely against it.

Following is a list of past ACORN voter activity across several states:

2005 - Two ex-ACORN employees were convicted in Denver, Colorado of perjury for submitting false voter registrations.

2005 - Four ACORN employees submitted as many as 3,000 potentially fraudulent signatures on the group’s Albuquerque, New Mexico ballot initiative. A local sheriff added: “It’s safe to say the forgery was widespread.”

2005 - the Virginia State Board of Elections admonished Project Vote and ACORN for turning in a significant number of faulty voter registrations. An audit revealed that 83% of sampled registrations that were rejected for carrying false or questionable information were submitted by Project Vote. Many of these registrations carried social security numbers that exist for other people, listed non-existent or commercial addresses, or were for convicted felons in violation of state and federal election law.
In a letter to ACORN, the State Board of Elections reported that 56% of the voter registration applications ACORN turned in were ineligible. Further, a full 35% were not submitted in a timely manner, as required by law. The State Board of Elections also commented on what appeared to be evidence of intentional voter fraud. "Additionally,” they wrote, “information appears to have been altered on some applications where information given by the applicant in one color ink has been scratched through and re-entered in another color ink. Any alteration of a voter registration application is a Class 5 Felony in accordance with § 24.2-1009 of the Code of Virginia."

2004 - An ACORN employee admitted to forging signatures and registering three of her friends to vote 40 times on Colorado.

2004 - A Florida Department of Law Enforcement spokesman said ACORN was “singled out” among suspected voter registration groups for a 2004 wage initiative because it was “the common thread” in the agency’s fraud investigations.

2004 - In Michigan, the Detroit Free Press reported that “overzealous or unscrupulous campaign workers in several Michigan counties are under investigation for voter-registration fraud, suspected of attempting to register nonexistent people or forging applications for already-registered voters.” ACORN-affiliate Project Vote was one of two groups suspected of turning in the documents.

2004 - North Carolina officials investigated ACORN for submitting fake voter registration cards.

2004 - An ACORN employee registered a 13-year-old boy to vote. Citing this and other examples, New Mexico State Representative Joe Thompson stated that ACORN was “manufacturing voters” throughout New Mexico.

2004 - In Ohio, a grand jury indicted a Columbus ACORN worker for submitting a false signature and false voter registration form. In Franklin County, two ACORN workers submitted what the director of the board of election supervisors called “blatantly false” forms. In Cuyahoga County, ACORN and its affiliate Project Vote submitted registration cards that had the highest rate of errors for any voter registration group.

2004 - In Minnesota, during a traffic stop, police found more than 300 voter registration cards in the trunk of a former ACORN employee, who had violated a legal requirements that registration cards be submitted to the Secretary of State within 10 days of being filled out and signed.

2004 - In Pennsylvania, Reading’s Director of Elections received calls from numerous individuals complaining that ACORN employees deliberately put inaccurate information on their voter registration forms. The Berks County director of elections said voter fraud was “absolutely out of hand,” and added: “Not only do we have unintentional duplication of voter registration but we have blatant duplicate voter registrations.” The Berks County deputy director of elections added that ACORN was under investigation by the Department of Justice.

2004 - In Texas, ACORN turned in the voter registration form of David Young, who told reporters “The signature is not my signature. It’s not even close.” His social security number and date of birth were also incorrect.

2004 - In Wisconsin, the district attorney’s office investigated seven voter registration applications Project Vote employees filed in the names of people who said the group never contacted them. Former Project Vote employee Robert Marquise Blakely told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that he had not met with any of the people whose voter registration applications he signed, “an apparent violation of state law,” according to the paper.

2003 - In Missouri, of 5,379 voter registration cards ACORN submitted in St. Louis, only 2,013 of those appeared to be valid. At least 1,000 are believed to be attempts to register voters illegally.

1998 - In Arkansas, a contractor with ACORN-affiliated Project Vote was arrested for falsifying about 400 voter registration cards.

Say It Ain't So, Joe: Palin Barracuda Slices Biden

What was funny about the VP debate was that Sarah Palin showed she was the equal (if not the better) of a 30 year Washington Senator. Biden demonstrated his usual excess of verbiage. Biden believes the number of words he uses is equal to the quality of what he says. What verbiage!

It was clever of Sarah Palin to point out Biden’s condemnation of Barack Obama’s foreign policy during the primary. That criticism is all too true. And what could be more idiotic than Biden’s plan to partition Iraq into three separate countries?

Biden fits well with Obama in that they are both political chameleons, changing sides to reflect the needs of professional pollsters. Sarah Palin was fresh, positive, and plain speaking. There is a great deal of difference between the plain-speaking wide sweeping opinions of Westerners like Sarah Palin and the narrow, pinched, lawyerly and often peripatetic rhetoric of the East Coast Washington-Boston-New York-Chicago Mob.

And Palin pointed out the obvious, too, when she told Biden Americans didn’t need Obama’s planned trillion dollar tax increase. There’s no amount of rhetoric or posturing which can hide that boondoggle from American voters.

Waiting for the Bailout--Why I'm voting Obama 2008

Oh, boy.... The Congress is working on bailing out the homeowner and I heard someone complaining about the plan. The guy said he didn't see the point of the government's buying out all those "defective mortgages." I had the same thought but then I thought about it a lot more deeply. I decided it made a lot of sense to get on board with my "defective" mortgage. I'm not behind in my payments, mind you, but we have struggled for many years to achieve the dream of home ownership. And now I find out we didn't have to struggle at all!

We haven't had any help until the Democrats came to the rescue with that Rescue Bill. I know the Democrats will keep trying to help me out though, and I'm sure they'll tack something onto it that will allow me to renege on my defective mortgage. Once the bill is passed, I'll stop paying. Then I'll go to the bank and tell them exactly how much I can afford to pay. Emboldened by the Chris Dodd/Barney Frank Bailout Bill, I might even tell the bank how much my house is really worth. I think that's called something like "mark-to-market." I'd like to "mark to market" by about 50 percent--I could afford that amount comfortably. Screw the bank, you know? What has the bank done for me lately?

Of course, I might then change my political party affiliation from Republican to Democrat. Who knows, perhaps I'll get some kind of political post, something like...say....Chairman of the Board at Fanny Mae. Don't laugh. Jamie Gorelick got the job without any experience in finance. And Obama advisor Frank Raines knew only enough about it to collect $200 million bucks from his adventure with the quasi-governmental private housing agency. What more is there to know? Ya' wanna' make the big bucks? Have an affordable mortgage? Vote Obama 2008.
