I'm waiting for the day when Bloomberg News, CNBC or Fox Business News begins a daily forecasting interview with a homeless man who lives under a bridge.
"Things are looking up. Today's going to be the day," he'll say with an optimistic smile.
It's the same stuff we've heard from President Barack Obama's economic advisers. If the optimism seems out of place, consider the White House is anxious to avoid any comparison with a 1979 Jimmy Carter malaise speech.
