The criticism followed a Payne interview today with Wall Street Journal editorial writer Brett Stephens who is the focus of much attention for an article titled "Is Obama Smart?"
The gist of the article was not that the president was unintelligent, but that Obama is a mediocre man surrounded by media flatterers who habitually elevated Obama's prosaic pronouncements to the level of the divine.
