So David Axelrod said in November that Barack Obama had been conferring with Chicago Governor Blagojevich about the appointment of a successor to Obama’s Senate seat. And then yesterday, Obama says he had not spoken with Blago. This entire lack of candor, having already manifested itself during the primary campaign, is only the harbinger of things to come from an Obama administration.
