Sexual Harassment Lawsuits Plague Philadelphia Housing Authority Chief Carl R. Greene -In an earlier report (Greene's 306K job in doubt), the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Carl R. Greene, in his capacity as Chief Executive of the Philadelphia Housing Authority, settled four sexual harassment claims at a cost to taxpayers of close to a million dollars. Philadelphia's insurers pay out the settlement monies but Philadelphia taxpayers pay the premiums.

We May Already Be In Recession - Great Speculations - Buys, holds, and hopes - ForbesThe wild governmnent spending produced one quarter of magnificent GDP, and declines thereafter. Obama loves apologies. He should apologize for his failed economic policies and for an economic team on Kool-aid.

News, Views, and Clues: News, Products, The ArtsThe dangerous duo, Obama and Biden, are talking up the “recovery,” hoping the spaghetti will stick to the wall at some point. This “recovery” mode of speaking is fairly typical of the far left administration which, as part of its Revamp America strategy, endeavors to change the meaning of common words and concepts.

Bedbug Invasion: Could it Hurt New York Economy? - Associated Content - associatedcontent.com

Bedbug Invasion: Could it Hurt New York Economy? It was early in 2008 when a young New York woman discovered tiny red welts on her skin. Coming from a stolid middle class household, where it was often said that "cleanliness was next to Godliness," Ashley was puzzled but at first dismissed the itching as caused by mosquito bites.

Iran Shows Off Unmanned, Long-Range Bomber | News | English

Iran Shows Off Unmanned, Long-Range Bomber | News | EnglishIf you're wondering how Obama's policies of "engagement" were working out, you might like to read this article. The first step Obama takes in any "decision" is to put off the decision by at least a year, giving Nazi spawn like Ahmadinajad much time to threaten, menace, degrade, and insult people around the world, especially Israelis and Americans.

How long did "sanctions" take? About a year and a half--after negative results from Obama's "engagement" policies. Another Obama "engagement" policy concerned Russia, a country which successfully pressured Obama to keep missiles out of Eastern Europe. And what did the U. S. get from Russia in return? Zilch--unless you think "engagement" means a bunch of weak sanctions and Russian involvment in the Iranian nuclear industry.

Obama should decline to run for a second term. Actually, he should abdicate on his first term. Maybe Leon Panetta could take over--he's not as bad as I first imagined. At least he has the nuts to stand up to Obama.

Northampton Community College expects to build Monroe campus in 2011 | PoconoRecord.com

Northampton Community College expects to build Monroe campus in 2011 | PoconoRecord.comLocal issue, here. I guess I should read the Pocono Record more...double duh! I voted against taxpayer bailout of the bond and thought that, with 62 percent of the people against it, it wouldn't be done.

Was the purpose of putting the issued to referendum just to insult the majority of people who pay the taxes around here? I'm even more shocked that the bond relies on gambling revenues, especially in this collapsed economy.

What kind of bond rating will it get? Triple DDD? That might be okay if it were bra size but, as financing goes, it's completely irresponsible, reckless, and deceptive. It's very easy for these people, who won't condescend to live in shabby Monroe County, to put the tax hooks into us.

Emmett Smith and Jerry Rice Adopted into Football Hall of Fame

Appropros of nothing, unrelated to the general timbre of this blog, and because I am so unremittingly glum, I am pleased to hear of the inductions of two of my favorite NFL players--Jerry Rice and Emmit Smith (spelling nothwithstanding). The irrespressible Smith was judged too small for the NFL while the impoverished Jerry Rice had never been on an airplane until he joined the 49ers.

Taliban Claims Great MIlitary Victory in Doctor Slaughter

When they're not busy beheading people or cutting the noses off pretty women, the insurgent Taliban proves itself worthy of battlefield honors by killing doctors and medical people. A few days ago, the Taliban slaughtered, robbed, and raped a medical team which had gone into Afghanistan to treat impoverished and desperate Afghanis with medical problems.

That's about all you can say, but let's not pretend there are two sides to the Taliban/Al Qaeda story.

Did WikiLeaks Participate in Theft of Classified Documents?

The WikiLeaks Worms were given an excellent opportunity to get away with murder by a Defense Department which asked for their cooperation in not releasing further documents. The WikiLeaks reponse, predictably, is to release more documents. Not surprising. WikiLeaks presents itself as the noble messengers of public information but Julian Assange and his cohorts are anti-West, and stand firmly behind anti-west terrorist groups around the world.

The releases thus far have served as a blueprint for Taliban and Al Qaeda to mark coalition troops and cooperative Afghanis for death.

Under the U.S. Constitution, the U.S. cannot prosecute WikiLeaks or Julian Assange for publishing the information. What it can and should do, however, is determine whether and/or to what degree Wikileaks contributed to the theft of classified information. Theft of classified information IS illegal and can be prosecuted, so if the WikiLeaks worm squad actively aided obtaining the classified materials, they can and should be prosecuted.
Force protection is of utmost importance, and we need also to protect the Afghanis who were compromised by release of the classified documents.

MSNBC V. Fox News: Blow by Blow Coverage - Associated Content - associatedcontent.com

MSNBC V. Fox News: Blow by Blow Coverage I get a great kick out of the criticism Fox News faces everywhere on the blogs and in print media. Most ridiculous is that the rancor directed at the Fox News organization is apoplectic, irrational, and outsized. Fox regularly features center left-liberals Juan Williams, Susan Estrich, Mara Liasson, Kristin Powers, and others on its news programs. The nearest opposite to Fox News is competitor and NBC division MSNBC. It’s as rare to see Republican or conservative ideas given fair treatment on MSNBC as it is to find water in the Kalahari.

AP Exclusive: New al-Qaida leader knows US well - Yahoo! News#mwpphu-post-formI'd heard of this man before, but Yahoo News just wrote an interesting update. I wonder if Shukrijumah's "green card" will be revoked or whether he will fall under President Obama's planned amnesty. Oooops, I just past the borderline there, sorry! So Un-PC! I really must be more enlightened.

We must strive to prove to Sheik Omar and UBL that we are all about religious and personal freedom even if Islam is just the opposite. I say we should set up an office headquarters for Shukrijumah in the new planned mosque at Ground Zero in New York City. Janet Napolitano is looking into it now, I understand.

Obama Touts Ford Hiring as Proof of Successful Economic Policies

President Obama is touring a new Ford assembly plant today to tout the hiring of an additional 1200 workers. Don’t count on the President mentioning that Ford is able to increase its market share and hire the 1200 workers on its own dime. GM and Chrysler are owned by us, i.e., Government Motors, while Ford still did things the old-fashioned way—independently of government.

Meanwhile, Chrysler and GM are still struggling to rise out of bankruptcy and both have yet to go public—errrr… private. After the taxpayer sponsored bailouts and bankruptcies, the outlook for a GM IPO is weak.

So, Mr. Obama… Will you now tell us how it was your 787 billion dollar stimulus plan which resulted in the hiring of 1200 new Ford workers?
